Flash is a Piece of Shit

Stupid me decided to dust off my Flash installation to use for this Noir site for uni… and here I am trying to make simple fucking gotoandplay() links… and it ain’t happening. So after wasting 5 hours last night on it… I Googled and found this on the macromedia site:
“The gotoAndPlay and gotoAndStop functions, using a variable or expression for the frame, will go to the WRONG FRAME if you use any scenes and do any rearranging of scene order.”
Well that’s fucking useful isn’t it? Where’s the update? How many plebs has this got the better of? Large software companies can bite a dick…

i totally agree… considering how much you paid for that software you should be REALLY pissed
totally agree. i’m coming from a .net perspective, trying to learn how to build a simple soap/xml powered flash app. the number of things that simply *don’t work* as expected astounds and frustrates me, and the damn just just crashed meaning i’ve lost my prototype code.
but then i suppose it’s not made for programmers is it.
Ive been away from programming for a while, and coming back to newer versions of Flash is possibly the most convoluted and complicated IDE user interface I’ve ever seen. For fucks sake
