Wizzepon X Ramblings… and other shit

Ok so Weapon X & Ken Hell… the Drive it Like It’s Hot thing is an example of when an artist’s joke track is better than their serious (normal) shit… (True, ever heard Wave Up Stev?) Though Mr. X is a fairly sick producer and has made beats for Bliss N Eso, Downsyde, 1200 Techniques, Savage and a bunch of other local and overseas dudes.

Mate, he even co-produced Renee Geyer who I’m sure heads don’t exactly identify with. And no, I don’t either, but it’s good to see a dope producer who can work with different people and isn’t afraid of some genre polygamy. I’ve never actually heard Renee Geyer anyway, but I’m sure it isn’t good. Something like a cross between Wendy Mathews and fucking something like Kate Cebrano maybe. Excuse me while I shudder… gross.
I wonder if major label crapshooters 1200 Techniques (who I’ve almost never heard but have seen and heard lots of) actually do anything other than act in Tim Tam ads, chat shit on Rove, and flog dodgy side-project mix cds of boring ghey skool hip hop to 14 year old school girls. And yes, the TIm Tam genie – I got it from a good source. The Rove thing I just made up but it sounds like something they would do.

I wonder how much of their shit was produced by WX? He is kinda like the Australian Scott Storch (the dude that co-produces [ie. basically writes most of] Dre’s music… but more on Mr Storch another time).

Anyway all of this is shit compared to the Dirty Boyz
